American Esoteric Laboratories, the Midsouth Division of Sonic Healthcare, has added two new physicians to its staff.

Holly Hilsenbeck Pierce, MD, has joined American Esoteric Laboratories and will serve as director of anatomic pathology. She earned her medical degree at the University of Tennessee Health Science Center, and her pathology residency training at the University of Kentucky. She is board certified in Anatomic and Clinical Pathology.

Prior to joining AEL, Dr. Pierce was in private practice in the Methodist Le Bonheur Healthcare system in for 11 years.

Matthew A. Dress, MD, has joined as director of the flow cytometry laboratory in Nashville. Dr. Dress, a board-certified anatomic and clinical pathologist, earned his medical degree from the University Of Tennessee College Of Medicine, completing a combined anatomic and clinical pathology residency at UT followed by a fellowship in hematopathology at the University of Rochester.

He has more than a decade of experience in the diagnosis of hematologic disorders.
